Social Media at MI

Have you checked out MI's website lately? Have you made friends with MI on Facebook? Are you following our tweets? Have you seen our videos on YouTube?

In the New Year we are excited to bring you news about our presence in the social media network. MI's presence in the social media world has expanded significantly in the last few months. Yes, we have been busy developing and testing our social media offerings for you all. We would like to keep in touch with you by taking advantage of the accessibility and economy offered by the Internet. So take a peek and feel free to friend us, like us, tweet us, follow us or message us, tag us, subscribe to us or just know more about us.

MI is on Facebook and we invite you to take a look at our profile and information as well as the messages, photos, and videos. Like us on Facebook and see who else is in the network. Take this opportunity to join the MI social network and learn about our work, events and provide comments and input. Please click here to visit us on facebook.

MI's Twitter account was also started in summer 2010 with regular posts or short "tweets" that highlight a variety of sexual health issues. These short and sweet messages inform, remind, ask and discuss news and updates relevant to youth sexual health and education. Please view our twitter page here.

With the inception of the MI blog in summer 2009, several posts have expressed what goes on in the minds of our youth when they are making their sexual health decisions. These blog posts also speak to our youth in their language about what pressures they may face and how to avoid them. The blog voices opinions of the youth and guides and supports them to make the healthiest sexual decisions. The MI blog is available here.

While you are on the Internet browsing all these websites, do not forget to go to YouTube and watch snippets from our recent video series Faces of the Issue; available here.
On YouTube you can also see results from our successful program in El Paso. A link is provided here.

As always, our website is a fabulous resource for the sexual health information that you seek. Check out the MI website at www.medinstitute.org for the latest and most accurate information on optimal sexual health. Here you can watch video clips from Faces of the Issue series and get updated information on MI projects, trainings and resources.
