The Medical Institute for Sexual Health is pleased to share the Guidelines for Sexual Health Education K-12. These evidenced-based Guidelines, funded by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, provide a scientifically and educationally sound approach to sexual health promotion in school age children. These guidelines have been designed to promote responsible sexual behavior, increase the proportion of adolescents who abstain from sexual intercourse, and reduce HIV/AIDS among adolescents. In response to requests by parents, teachers, and communities, the guidelines emphasize sexual health education in the context of the whole child.
